For you shall go out in joy and be led back in peace…. Isaiah 55:12a
Partnership for Peace
Where is peace needed in our community?
Shattered Consecration
This is an image of a broken glass in the church’s offering plate. I dropped a glass candle holder while cleaning up from a worship service and I grabbed the offering plate to pick up the big pieces. I looked down and was struck by the image I saw. It reminded me that sometimes, all we have to offer is the broken pieces of ourselves. There’s a certain kind of peace that comes (both for the individual and for the whole community) when we have gathered up our jagged, broken parts and offer them to one another.
